Starbucks Italy sells espresso the way an Italian bar does: as a single (€1.60, ~$1.84) or a double (€3.00, ~$3.44), with a marocchino at €2.20 (~$2.52), a caffè d’orzo at €1.60 (~$1.84), a shakerato at €3.50 (~$4.02) and a cappuccino size the menu labels italian, one step below Tall. The pastry case runs on cornetti and krapfen, the sandwiches are panini, focaccia and tramezzini, and the fridge holds chinotto and a bottled beer. The autumn pumpkin range is on too, from €5.50 (~$6.31) for a Tall Pumpkin Spice Latte. starbucks.it publishes no prices. These come from the in-store QR menu run by Percassi, the chain’s Italian licensee, read on September 21, 2026 from the price list that menu opens by default. The same site holds dearer lists, and the one for the Rome flagship has that single espresso at €3.00 (~$3.44).

Most Starbucks menus on this site differ from each other at the edges, a seasonal drink here and a local sandwich there. Italy’s differs in the espresso list. Under the three autumn drinks, the QR menu’s hot coffee page opens with espresso, espresso macchiato, espresso con panna, a decaf and a marocchino before it gets to a latte. None of marocchino, shakerato, espresso con panna or orzo was on the Starbucks UK menu we harvested a day earlier. The nearest parallel on this site is Starbucks Turkey, which gives Türk kahvesi a menu category of its own.
The chain’s Starbucks Italia page spells out what it changed for this market. Espresso goes out in a tazzina with a saucer and a spoon, and the stores swapped the automatic Mastrena machine for a semi-automatic Black Eagle. The page calls it a traditional machine that, with the barista working it, makes an excellent coffee in keeping with Italian culture. Where Starbucks Japan builds its year on dated seasonal launches, Italy’s site shows one seasonal range and puts no dates on it.

Checked September 21, 2026. There are two official sources here and they don’t carry the same things. starbucks.it has the menu in Italian only (the /en/ address sends you back to the Italian pages), with a photo, a description and allergen icons for each product. It shows no prices and no calories. Every price on this page comes from the QR-code menu that Percassi, the Italian group that runs Starbucks in Italy under licence, hosts for its stores. starbucks.it links to that menu from its Rome flagship page. It comes in Italian, English, German and Spanish, and it’s where most of the English names on this page come from. The QR menu has no calories either, and neither source puts a launch date or an end date on anything, so this page doesn’t. The dollar figures next to the euro prices are a loose conversion at the rate on the date above.
Four price lists, one menu
The QR menu is four price lists sharing one set of pages. The link on starbucks.it’s flagship page opens the list for the Rome San Silvestro store, which the site files as menu-F. The QR site’s own front door opens a different list, menu-A, and every price on this page is a menu-A price unless it says otherwise. Two more lists, menu-B and menu-C, sit at the same address pattern. Nothing on either site says which stores use which list.
So treat the menu-A figure as a floor. On September 21, 2026 the Italian pages of menu-A were the lowest, or tied for lowest, on every drink and every food item across the four lists. The two combo deals were the only exception.
| Item | menu-A | menu-B | menu-C | menu-F (Rome flagship) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Espresso, single | €1.60 (~$1.84) | €1.70 (~$1.95) | €2.00 (~$2.30) | €3.00 (~$3.44) |
| Starbucks Caffè Latte, Tall | €2.80 (~$3.21) | €3.00 (~$3.44) | €3.50 (~$4.02) | €5.00 (~$5.74) |
| Croissant | €1.75 (~$2.01) | €2.00 (~$2.30) | €3.00 (~$3.44) | €3.00 (~$3.44) |
| Spremuta d’arancia | €4.50 (~$5.16) | €5.00 (~$5.74) | €6.00 (~$6.89) | €7.00 (~$8.03) |
| Pumpkin Spice Latte, Tall | €5.50 (~$6.31) | €5.50 (~$6.31) | €6.00 (~$6.89) | €5.50 (~$6.31) |
| Caramel Frappuccino, Tall | €4.70 (~$5.39) | €4.70 (~$5.39) | €5.80 (~$6.66) | €4.70 (~$5.39) |
The gap is widest on the Italian basics. A single espresso on the Rome flagship list costs what a double does on menu-A, while the seasonal drinks and the Frappuccinos barely move.
Espresso by the single and the double
Four drinks on the hot list are sold by the shot instead of by cup size: espresso, espresso macchiato, espresso con panna and decaffeinato, each as a single or a double. The beans are Blonde Espresso Roast, 100% arabica, and the take-home shelf describes that roast in five words: l’espresso di Starbucks in Italia. The decaf is the exception, a dark roast, at the same €1.60 (~$1.84) and €3.00 (~$3.44).
The marocchino is espresso, milk foam, mocha sauce and cocoa powder in a small glass, a bar order that comes from Piedmont. Orzo is caffè d’orzo, roasted barley brewed like coffee, with no caffeine in it. The Italian description is just those two words, and the English menu renders the name as Barley. The shakerato is Blonde espresso shaken with ice and sugar syrup, and Tall is its only size.
The cappuccino gets a size the other drinks don’t, a cup below Tall that the price table labels italian. The Flat White is sold in one size, Short, which is how the UK site lists it too.

The pastry case: cornetti, krapfen and a Treviso tiramisù
The QR menu’s pastry page is titled Croissant e specialità and holds ten items, from €1.75 (~$2.01) to €3.90 (~$4.48). The plain croissant is the cheapest, and the menu says it’s good empty or filled with custard, apricot, hazelnut cream or pistachio (the Italian page adds berries). The krapfen, a soft filled doughnut, takes the same fillings. Two pastries go by cornetto, the Italian bar’s name for its breakfast pastry: one wholemeal with a honey filling, one vegan with spelt dough and quinoa seeds. The two €3.90 (~$4.48) items are the American imports, a Cinnamon Roll con glassa and a Cinnamon Swirl.
The tiramisù artigianale sits on the Dolci page at €6.00 (~$6.89). The Italian description says it’s made by hand with Starbucks Colombia Espresso Roast, to the recipe from Treviso, which it names as the dessert’s birthplace. The English page shortens all of that to “With Starbucks coffee”. starbucks.it’s own dessert page doesn’t list it.
The morning combo ties the case together. Until 12:00, a pastry, a coffee and an orange juice are €7.90 (~$9.07) on the menu-A list. The pastry can be a croissant, the vegan sfoglia, the treccia, the girella or a pain au chocolat, the coffee is a Short cappuccino or an espresso in any of its versions, and the juice is a spremuta or a bottled orange juice. This is the one place menu-A isn’t the cheapest: the Italian pages of menu-B and the Rome list both show the same combo at €6.50 (~$7.46).

Panini, focaccia and tramezzini
The menu lists the sandwich page as Panini and most of its vocabulary is Italian. Two items carry the NEW tag on both official sites. Panino zucca e speck is pumpkin, speck and cream cheese on crisp bread (speck is the smoked cured ham from Alto Adige), and the Focacciotto is a soft focaccia roll with aubergine, tomato and mozzarella. Both are €8.00 (~$9.18). Two multi-seed croissants come filled with prosciutto crudo or prosciutto cotto, smoked scamorza and songino, at €4.90 (~$5.62) each. Tramezzini, the soft crustless triangles, run €5.50-6.00 (~$6.31-$6.89).
The American side of the fridge is there as well: a Club Sandwich and a Bagel con salmone at €8.00 (~$9.18), and a Panino Uova e Bacon at €7.50 (~$8.61) that the menu says follows the American savoury-breakfast tradition and is served from opening.
An asterisk next to a name means frozen at origin, per the menu’s footnote, with a reminder to check the item is available in your store. The focaccia, the schiacciatina, the bagel, the toast and both filled croissants carry it. The lunch combo is any panino or salad, a Tall iced tea or Refresha, and an espresso for €11.90 (~$14) between 12:00 and 15:00 on the menu-A list.

The fridge: chinotto, IGP sodas and a beer
The bottled-drinks page, Bevande in bottiglia, has 18 items and reads like an Italian bar’s fridge. Chinotto, an Aranciata Rossa made with Sicilian blood orange juice IGP, and a Limonata made with Siracusa IGP lemon juice are €3.50 (~$4.02) each. Naming the protected origin on a soft drink is the same habit McDonald’s Italy has with its DOP cheeses and IGP tomatoes. A Birra bionda 4 luppoli is €4.50 (~$5.16), and still or sparkling water is €1.80 (~$2.07). Six bottles carry the NEW tag: two kefirs at €3.90 (~$4.48), then two kombuchas (green tea and ginger) and two organic juices at €4.50 (~$5.16).
Fresh-squeezed orange juice gets a page to itself, Spremute, at €4.50 (~$5.16). On the snack shelf, Ticchia is a baked lentil snack at €2.90 (~$3.33), and Piadatina, at the same price, is an organic baked snack the menu pitches as good as a piadina and as easy as a crisp.

The autumn range and the protein drinks
The Novità page holds the same nine drinks on all four price lists: Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pumpkin Spice Caramel Macchiato, each hot and iced, Pecan Maple Macchiato hot and iced, and three matcha drinks. A Tall Pumpkin Spice Latte is €5.50 (~$6.31). Everything else in the range is €6.00 (~$6.89) Tall, €6.50 (~$7.46) Grande and €7.00 (~$8.03) Venti. starbucks.it’s Novità page shows eight drinks. It adds a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino that the QR menu doesn’t list, and it files the two pecan macchiatos under hot and cold coffee with a NEW ribbon. Neither site shows a start date or an end date for any of it.
Starbucks UK had most of this range on its site a day earlier, with one name flipped (Maple Pecan Macchiato there) and without the two pumpkin matcha drinks.
The Protein page is three iced drinks, all tagged NEW: an Iced Caramel Protein Latte, an Iced Caramel Protein Americano (€4.50, ~$5.16 Tall) and an Iced Vanilla Protein Matcha Latte. The UK site listed six, hot and iced, with protein grams for each. Italy’s two sites give no protein figure. Adding Protein Cold Foam to another drink is listed at €2.00 (~$2.30).

The global core at Italian prices
The rest of the drinks board is the one you know, in Tall, Grande and Venti. A Tall Starbucks Caffè Latte or Latte macchiato is €2.80 (~$3.21) and a Tall Caffè americano is €2.50 (~$2.87), which puts the plain milk coffees well under the syrup drinks: a Tall Caramel Macchiato is €4.00 (~$4.59) and a Tall mocha €4.30 (~$4.94). All twelve Frappuccinos on the QR menu share one set of prices, as do the five Refresha drinks. Hot tea starts at €3.40 (~$3.90) for a Tall Teavana English Breakfast, and a matcha or chai tea latte is €4.50 (~$5.16) Tall, hot or iced.
Plant-based milks don’t cost extra. The QR menu’s front page lists oat, soy, almond and coconut drinks as Gratis, and starbucks.it has a page about it under the name Price Parity, which says the change applies from 24 September without giving a year. Paid extras are €0.50 (~$0.57) for whipped cream, cookie crumble, Frappuccino chips or a syrup, and €1.50 (~$1.72) for a Refresha base, cold foam or a seasonal sauce.

The Rome flagship’s Bar Mixato
The Rome San Silvestro list has a page none of the others do, Bar Mixato. starbucks.it’s flagship page describes it as the place where coffee and mixology meet, with drinks brought to your table. Three Starbucks Reserve signature cocktails lead it. Two are alcohol-free, a Cold brew Arancia Rossa at €8.00 (~$9.18) and a Cold Brew Lemon Sour at €12.00 (~$14), and the third is the Starbucks Reserve Espresso Martini at €15.00 (~$17). Under them is an Italian aperitivo list at €12.00 (~$14) a glass: Campari or Aperol Spritz, Negroni, Negroni sbagliato and Americano. Wine by the glass runs €8.00-10.00 (~$9.18-$11) and a Menabrea Bionda is €8.00 (~$9.18). The Rome list also has pancakes (three pieces) and a waffle at €7.00 (~$8.03) each, which the other three lists don’t.

Where the two official menus disagree
Reading both sites side by side turns up mismatches, and they matter if you’re budgeting from the English pages.
- The cappuccino’s italian size is €2.30 (~$2.64) on menu-A’s Italian page and €2.00 (~$2.30) on its English page. On the Rome list the gap is wider, €3.00 (~$3.44) against €4.50 (~$5.16).
- The three cookies are €3.20 (~$3.67) on menu-A’s Italian page and €3.00 (~$3.44) on the English one.
- starbucks.it still shows three centrifugati (pressed juice blends) on its Spremute page. The QR menu has them hidden on all four Italian lists. Of the English pages we read, only the Rome list’s shows them, at €6.00 (~$6.89).
- The Iced Caffè Americano is on starbucks.it and on the QR menu’s English pages, but missing from its Italian cold coffee page.
- On starbucks.it, the Limonata tile carries the Caramel Macchiato’s description.
None of that makes the menu stale. Both sites carry the current pumpkin range with NEW tags. It does mean the English page’s price isn’t always the Italian page’s price, and this page uses the Italian one.
FAQ
How much is an espresso at Starbucks in Italy?
A single espresso is €1.60 (~$1.84) and a double is €3.00 (~$3.44) on menu-A, the default price list of the chain’s in-store QR menu, as of September 21, 2026. The same single is €1.70 (~$1.95) on menu-B, €2.00 (~$2.30) on menu-C and €3.00 (~$3.44) on the list for the Rome San Silvestro flagship. Neither official site says which stores use which list.
Does Starbucks Italy publish prices online?
Not on starbucks.it, which shows photos, descriptions and allergen icons only. The prices are on the QR-code menu that the licensee, Percassi, hosts for the stores, and starbucks.it links to it from the Rome flagship page. That menu has four price lists, and the figures here are from menu-A, the lowest of the four on everything except the combo deals.
What is a marocchino at Starbucks Italy?
It’s espresso with milk foam, mocha sauce and cocoa powder, served in a small glass, going by the menu’s description and photo. It comes in one size at €2.20 (~$2.52) on the default price list and €3.00 (~$3.44) on the Rome flagship list. It wasn’t on the Starbucks UK menu we checked on September 20, 2026.
What sizes does Starbucks Italy sell?
Most drinks come in Tall, Grande and Venti. Espresso, espresso macchiato, espresso con panna and decaf are sold as a single or a double. The cappuccino adds a smaller cup the menu labels italian, the Flat White is Short only, and the shakerato is Tall only.
Do oat and soy milk cost extra at Starbucks Italy?
No. The QR menu lists oat, soy, almond and coconut drinks as Gratis. starbucks.it’s Price Parity page says plant-based alternatives carry no extra charge in all Italian stores from 24 September, and it doesn’t give the year.
Is the Pumpkin Spice Latte on in Italy right now?
Yes. On September 21, 2026 it led the Novità page on both starbucks.it and the QR menu, tagged NEW, at €5.50 (~$6.31) Tall, €6.00 (~$6.89) Grande and €6.50 (~$7.46) Venti, hot or iced. Neither site shows when the range started or when it ends.
Does Starbucks Italy sell alcohol?
Yes. A bottled Birra bionda 4 luppoli is on the regular bottled-drinks list at €4.50 (~$5.16). The Rome San Silvestro flagship goes further, with a Bar Mixato page of cocktails at €12.00 (~$14), a Starbucks Reserve Espresso Martini at €15.00 (~$17) and wine by the glass.
Is the Milan Reserve Roastery’s menu on starbucks.it?
No. starbucks.it’s menu pages and the QR menu cover the regular stores and one flagship, Rome San Silvestro. We found no Roastery menu on either, so nothing on this page describes it.
