The short answer

McDonald’s New Zealand runs most of the Australian board and then writes its own names over the top. The beef list carries a Serious Beef and an Almighty Texan BBQ. Breakfast stacks a Massive McMuffin and puts two bagels on the morning board, the NYC Benedict Bagel and the BLT Bagel. Dessert has a Crème Brûlée Pie, a Choc McDip and a Choc Top Super Sundae, and a Honey Sriracha breakfast range has been running since July 2026. Prices are set per restaurant and aren’t published on the website.

Start with the overlap, because it’s most of the menu. The Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, Big Arch, the Cheeseburger up through the Triple, the McCrispy line, McSpicy, McChicken, Filet-O-Fish, McNuggets, the hash brown, mozzarella sticks, the Cadbury Flake cone and the Tim Tam & Jatz Inspired McFlurry all sit on the Australian board as well. If you have eaten at a Macca’s in Sydney, you have eaten most of this menu.

What’s left after that subtraction is what this page is for, and it splits two ways. Some of it is naming: New Zealand reaches for a bigger adjective every time, so Australia’s Mighty McMuffin is a Massive McMuffin here, the Brekkie McWrap becomes the Mega Brekkie McWrap, and the Big Brekkie Burger gets Beef added to its name. The rest is real difference, and it clusters in three places: two beef burgers named Serious Beef and Almighty Texan BBQ, a breakfast board with bagels on it, and a dessert list with a Crème Brûlée Pie. Those go on our worldwide exclusives table.

Checked September 11, 2026. New Zealand prices vary by restaurant and aren’t published on the website, so the MyMacca’s app is where you’ll find yours. The value end of the board is organised as Share Meals rather than a single value menu, and the deal names are worth knowing before you order: Meal Steal, Big Choice Deal, McChicken Chomp, Mates Hunger Buster, Mega Share Meal and The Family Pack, with the Sunrise Special, the Breakfast Share Meal and the Hunger Buster bundles covering mornings. The app shows what each one holds at your restaurant.

Limited time right now

The Honey Sriracha range landed in July 2026 and sits entirely at breakfast, which is a slightly unusual place to put a chilli promotion. It runs across three builds: the Massive McMuffin, the Big Brekkie Burger and the Mega Brekkie Wrap. The website publishes the sauce and not the rest of the build, so if the details matter, check the app before the range comes off.

Item What it is
Honey Sriracha Massive McMuffin Honey Sriracha Massive McMuffin The stacked breakfast muffin with the sweet-hot sauce.
Honey Sriracha Big Brekkie Burger Honey Sriracha Big Brekkie Burger Breakfast-in-a-bun, same sauce, biggest item on the limited list.
Honey Sriracha Mega Brekkie Wrap Honey Sriracha Mega Brekkie Wrap The wrap version, for skipping the bun.

Beef

Two names on this list exist only here. Serious Beef and Almighty Texan BBQ are both listed with a picture and no published build, which is common on the New Zealand site, so the names are all you have to go on until the app or the counter fills in the rest. Texan BBQ tells you where it’s aiming. Serious Beef tells you very little except that the beef is meant to be the point.

Item What it is
Serious Beef Serious Beef A New Zealand-only burger name; the build isn’t published.
Almighty Texan BBQ Almighty Texan BBQ The other local beef name, aimed at American barbecue.
Big Mac Big Mac The original, with a Double Big Mac beside it.
Quarter Pounder Quarter Pounder Single and double, in the standard build.
Big Arch Big Arch The chain’s big double-patty rollout, permanent here.
Triple Cheeseburger Triple Cheeseburger Listed as its own item, not an upsize.
Cheeseburger Cheeseburger The cheap classic the Triple is built from.

Chicken and fish

New Zealand files fish with chicken, so the Filet-O-Fish lives in this section rather than alone. The local item here is Chicken McBites, a 10-piece box of popcorn-chicken pieces that runs alongside the McNuggets instead of replacing them. That gives the board two separate bite-size chicken orders, which is one more than the US menu carries.

Item What it is
10pc Chicken McBites 10pc Chicken McBites Popcorn-chicken pieces in a 10-piece box.
McCrispy McCrispy The crispy chicken burger, base of a four-deep line.
McCrispy Bacon Deluxe McCrispy Bacon Deluxe The loaded build, with a Grilled Chicken Bacon Deluxe and a Double McCrispy beside it.
McSpicy McSpicy The spicy fillet burger, permanent on this board.
Cheesy Chicken Burger Cheesy Chicken Burger The budget chicken burger with cheese.
McChicken McChicken The long-runner, single or double.
Filet-O-Fish Filet-O-Fish Single and double, filed under chicken.
Chicken McNuggets Chicken McNuggets Sold in 3, 6, 10 and 20 pieces, with 3pc Chicken McWings nearby.

Breakfast

This is the part of the menu that surprises visitors. There are two bagels, the NYC Benedict Bagel and the BLT Bagel, and bagel breakfasts are much more a Canadian habit than an Australasian one. The Massive McMuffin and the Mega Brekkie McWrap show the local naming at work, and the Big Brekkie Beef Burger puts a cooked breakfast inside a bun. Chicken at breakfast is normal here and still unknown on the US board.

Item What it is
Massive McMuffin Massive McMuffin The stacked muffin Australia calls a Mighty McMuffin.
NYC Benedict Bagel NYC Benedict Bagel A bagel named after eggs benedict; the build isn’t published.
BLT Bagel BLT Bagel Bacon, lettuce and tomato, as the name says.
Big Brekkie Beef Burger Big Brekkie Beef Burger Breakfast in a bun, with Beef spelled out in the name.
Mega Brekkie McWrap Mega Brekkie McWrap The breakfast wrap, under the Mega name.
Chicken & Bacon McMuffin Chicken & Bacon McMuffin Crispy chicken and bacon on the muffin.
Hash Brown Hash Brown On the side, or inside the Big Brekkie.

Sides and desserts

The dessert case is where New Zealand pulls furthest ahead of the plain international default. A Crème Brûlée Pie replaces the apple standard, the Choc McDip and the Choc Top Super Sundae are local names built on soft serve, and Cadbury supplies the Flake for the cone. Local pie flavours are how most McDonald’s markets show off, and the UK plays the same game. Two of these items are also running in Australia right now: the Tim Tam & Jatz Inspired McFlurry and the Flake cone.

Item What it is
Crème Brûlée Pie Crème Brûlée Pie The local pie flavour, in place of apple.
Choc McDip Choc McDip A local soft-serve and chocolate item; the build isn’t published.
Choc Top Super Sundae Choc Top Super Sundae The big sundae, borrowing the cinema Choc Top name.
Tim Tam & Jatz Inspired McFlurry Tim Tam & Jatz Inspired McFlurry Chocolate biscuit against salty cracker, shared with Australia.
Soft Serve Cone with Cadbury Flake Soft Serve Cone with Cadbury Flake The cone with a Flake pushed into the top.
3pc Mozzarella Sticks 3pc Mozzarella Sticks Crumbed and fried, listed as a three-piece.
Fries Fries The default side in every Share Meal deal.

FAQ

Is the McDonald’s New Zealand menu the same as Australia’s?

Mostly, but not entirely. The Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, Big Arch, Cheeseburger, McCrispy line, McSpicy, McChicken, Filet-O-Fish, McNuggets, McWings, hash brown, mozzarella sticks, Flake cone and the Tim Tam & Jatz McFlurry are on both boards at once. New Zealand then adds Serious Beef, the Almighty Texan BBQ, Chicken McBites, two breakfast bagels, the Crème Brûlée Pie and the Choc McDip, and it renames shared items with bigger adjectives, so Australia’s Mighty McMuffin is a Massive McMuffin here. Limited-time ranges run separately in each country.

What is Serious Beef?

It’s a beef burger sold only by McDonald’s New Zealand, and the menu page lists the name and a photo without publishing the recipe. That means the honest answer is that nobody outside the company knows the exact build until they order one. The same goes for the Almighty Texan BBQ, whose name at least points at a barbecue sauce.

What is a Massive McMuffin?

It’s New Zealand’s stacked breakfast muffin, the tall version of the standard McMuffin. Australia sells the same shelf position as a Mighty McMuffin, and the July 2026 Honey Sriracha promotion was built on the New Zealand one.

Does McDonald’s New Zealand publish prices?

No. Franchisees set their own prices and the website doesn’t list them, so the MyMacca’s app is the only reliable source for your restaurant. For cheaper orders, look at the Share Meals section, which holds the Meal Steal, Big Choice Deal, McChicken Chomp, Mates Hunger Buster, Mega Share Meal and The Family Pack, plus the Sunrise Special and Hunger Buster bundles at breakfast.
