McDonald’s Hong Kong serves pasta in broth for breakfast. Its Twisty Pasta (扭扭粉) comes topped with a grilled chicken thigh or with sausage and egg, in the style of the macaroni-soup sets at the city’s cha chaan teng diners. The rest of the board runs from breakfast platters and a thigh-meat McSpicy to bone-in fried chicken (麥炸雞) in three flavors, a corn cup and a fried apple pie. McCafé pours Ovaltine and brown sugar bubble drinks next to a ciabatta spread with 奶醬, the condensed milk and peanut butter topping from cha chaan teng toast. Prices are in HK$, and they live in the app.
This page puts the Hong Kong board in one place, from the breakfast platters through McCafé. Every item appears in English first, then in Chinese as the menu prints it, in traditional characters and often in Cantonese. Some names match the mainland: 巨無霸 (Big Mac), 麥樂雞 (McNuggets) and 麥旋風 (McFlurry) are the same words McDonald’s China uses in simplified script. Others split off. The Filet-O-Fish is 魚柳飽 here and 麦香鱼 there, and the sundae is 新地, a Cantonese sound-alike of the English word, where the mainland writes 圣代. Hong Kong’s burger names end in 飽, which means “full” and sounds close to 包, the usual word for a bun. Checked against McDonald’s Hong Kong’s official site; images © McDonald’s Hong Kong.
Checked September 11, 2026. The official site doesn’t publish prices. They’re in Hong Kong dollars, they vary by store and by time of day, and the McDonald’s app shows what your store charges. The site also lists value picks, salads, Happy Meals and combo meals, plus a Signature Collection of Angus burgers running as a promotion; this page covers the single items on the everyday boards.
Breakfast platters and twisty pasta
Hong Kong’s cha chaan teng (茶餐廳), the city’s diner-style tea restaurants, sell breakfast sets built on macaroni in soup, usually with ham, luncheon meat or sausage, plus eggs and buttered toast. McDonald’s Hong Kong’s answer is Twisty Pasta: S-shaped pasta (扭扭粉) in broth. The product page offers the grilled chicken bowl in original chicken broth or pork bone broth, and the sausage-and-egg bowl is listed in clear chicken broth. It’s the item that puts Hong Kong on our around-the-world roundup.
The platters are the Western side of the same morning. The Deluxe Breakfast is sausage, scrambled eggs, a muffin and a hash brown; the Jumbo Breakfast puts hotcakes on the plate with the eggs, sausage and muffin. A Hotcakes Deluxe Breakfast sits beside them.

Burgers
The official burger list runs eight items, and two of them are chicken thigh: the McSpicy (脆辣雞腿飽) in a crisp spicy coating and the Grilled Chicken Burger (板燒雞腿飽), the same pairing that anchors the mainland menu. The Ham ‘n’ Cheese Burger and the Egg & Cheese Burger are small soft-bun builds you’d expect on a breakfast board, and the Sausage McMuffin with Egg (豬柳蛋漢堡) is filed on the main burger list as well. A Double Cheeseburger completes the eight.

Fried chicken
麥炸雞 (“Mc fried chicken”) is bone-in fried chicken, and the product pages say the pieces are drumsticks and thighs (雞鎚及雞上髀), whatever the English name, Crispy Thighs, suggests. The original is marinated in a house sauce, fried in vegetable oil and described as mildly spicy (微辣). The spicy version adds bird’s eye chili to the marinade, honey BBQ is the sweet one, and a six-piece bucket mixes all three.

McCafé
Ovaltine (阿華田) is a cha chaan teng staple, poured hot or iced next to the milk tea, and McCafé Hong Kong builds two drinks on it: Crunchy Ovaltine under a foam top, and an iced Ovaltine bubble latte with tapioca pearls. Okinawa brown sugar milk tea and Uji matcha fill out the bubble line. 凍 at the front of a drink name means iced, the same shorthand cha chaan teng menus use. The regular coffee list covers Americano, latte, cappuccino, mochaccino, flat white, a coconut flavored latte and a salted caramel Oatly latte.
The food case is where the city shows up again. The menu calls a ciabatta 意式飽 (“Italian-style bun”), and the 奶醬 version takes the condensed milk and peanut butter spread from 奶醬多, the cha chaan teng toast, and puts it on Italian bread. Crayfish egg mayo, pineapple chicken, and ham and egg mayo make up the savory ciabattas, with muffins and mini donuts (冬甩) for something sweet.

Is the McDonald’s apple pie fried in Hong Kong?
