The US McDonald’s menu is simultaneously the world’s most familiar and one of its most unusual: no rice plates, no soup, no vegetarian patty, a sides list two items long, and beef depth no other market matches. This page and its drinks-and-desserts half are the verified baseline for the worldwide exclusives table and every country comparison we run.

Two system notes. First, pricing: US franchisees set their own prices, the company publishes none, and the gap between stores can be startling — which is why this site quotes exact prices for Tokyo and Delhi but not for Ohio. The McValue platform ($5 Meal Deal, McDouble or McChicken based, plus the buy-one-add-a-dollar list) is the response to the viral price-anger years. Second, what’s missing: seen from Japan, India or Korea, the striking thing about America’s menu is its conservatism — no seasonal event culture, no vegetarian option, no localized breakfast plate, and a spice ceiling the McSpicy countries would call a floor.
