The short answer

McDonald’s Malaysia leads with Ayam Goreng McD, bone-in fried chicken ordered regular or spicy. Behind it sits the local block that makes this board worth reading: Bubur Ayam McD, a chicken rice porridge with spring onions, ginger, fried shallots and chilli, plus Nasi Lemak McD, a corn cup and the chocolate-dipped ChocoTop. Milo comes hot or iced, and 100Plus, Malaysia’s isotonic drink, is on the fountain. Breakfast runs a Crispy Chicken Muffin line beside the McMuffins. The restaurant is halal, so there is no pork and every sausage item is chicken sausage. McDonald’s Malaysia publishes no prices online; ask in-store or in the app.

The local block is what separates this board from the US menu. Ayam Goreng McD is bone-in fried chicken sold by the piece, the same category of item that anchors the Philippines menu as Chicken McDo. Malaysia then pushes further into local breakfast food: Bubur Ayam McD is chicken porridge, Nasi Lemak McD puts the national dish on a fast-food tray, and a Crispy Chicken Muffin sits next to the Sausage McMuffins in the morning. Because the restaurant is halal, the sausage in all of them is chicken. The chicken burgers use whole thigh meat, the way they do in Hong Kong and Taiwan, while the beef list is the global one. For the rest of the chain’s local items, see McDonald’s around the world.

Checked September 11, 2026. McDonald’s Malaysia doesn’t publish prices on its website. Each product page carries a photo and a one-line description with no ringgit figure attached, so you’ll see the number at the counter, on the in-store boards or in the McDonald’s app. Nasi Lemak McD is listed with a photo and no description at all as of this check, so this page doesn’t guess at what comes on the tray.

Ayam Goreng McD, Bubur Ayam and Nasi Lemak

Ayam Goreng McD comes regular or spicy, and the menu spends four words on it: “Juicy and tasty!” Bubur Ayam McD gets the longer write-up, chicken strips in porridge garnished with spring onions, sliced ginger, fried shallots and diced chillies, which is how a Malaysian coffee shop would send a bowl out. Nasi Lemak McD sits alongside them with no published description. Happy Meal versions exist for Ayam Goreng McD, the chicken burger, nuggets, the cheeseburger, the Sausage McMuffin and hotcakes.

Item What it is
Ayam Goreng McD Ayam Goreng McD Regular or Spicy Bone-in fried chicken, the item this board is built around.
Bubur Ayam McD Bubur Ayam McD Chicken strips in rice porridge, with spring onions, sliced ginger, fried shallots and diced chillies.
Nasi Lemak McD Nasi Lemak McD Malaysia’s national dish on the menu. The chain publishes no description for it.

The board is halal

McDonald’s Malaysia is halal-certified and sells no pork. The swap you notice on the menu is the sausage: the Sausage McMuffin is described in the chain’s own copy as chicken sausage and cheese in a toasted English muffin, and the Big Breakfast lists chicken sausage on the tray. Bacon doesn’t appear anywhere. Chicken, beef and fish carry the rest of the board, which is part of why the chicken list runs deeper here than it does in the US.

Breakfast and the Crispy Chicken Muffin

Two breakfast families run side by side. The Crispy Chicken Muffin puts a chicken patty, crisp outside and tender inside, in an English muffin, and a second version adds cheese and a cooked egg. The Sausage McMuffins sit next to them, plain or with egg. The Big Breakfast plates scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, a toasted muffin and hash browns, and hotcakes come two to an order with syrup and margarine.

Item What it is
Crispy Chicken Muffin Crispy Chicken Muffin A crispy chicken patty in a fluffy English muffin. A version with cheese and egg is on the board too.
Sausage McMuffin with Egg Sausage McMuffin with Egg Chicken sausage, egg and cheese in a toasted English muffin.
Big Breakfast Big Breakfast Scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, a toasted English muffin and hash browns.

Burgers and chicken

The chicken burgers use whole thigh meat. The Spicy Chicken McDeluxe is a marinated thigh in a crispy coat with fresh lettuce and special sauce; the GCB, which the menu names by its initials before spelling out Grilled Chicken Burger, is the same cut grilled and finished with smoky chargrilled sauce. The McChicken covers the global build. On the beef side you get the Big Mac, a Beefburger with onions, pickles, ketchup and mustard, a Cheeseburger and a Double Cheeseburger. The Filet-O-Fish comes in a steamed bun with tartar sauce and cheddar, and Chicken McNuggets are breast and thigh meat.

Item What it is
Spicy Chicken McDeluxe Spicy Chicken McDeluxe Marinated whole chicken thigh in a crispy coat, with lettuce and special sauce.
GCB Grilled Chicken Burger GCB - Grilled Chicken Burger Grilled chicken thigh, iceberg lettuce and smoky chargrilled sauce.
Big Mac Big Mac The standard build, unchanged on a halal board.
Filet-O-Fish Filet-O-Fish Fish with tartar sauce and cheddar in a steamed bun.

Corn cups, ChocoTop, Milo and 100Plus

The snack and drink end is where Malaysia’s board reads most local. A corn cup, sold as crunchy and juicy kernels, sits with the fries. The ChocoTop is soft serve in a cone under a chocolate shell, and the plain Sundae Cone is that cone without the dip. Milo, the malted chocolate drink Malaysians grow up on, is poured hot and iced. 100Plus, the isotonic drink F&N makes here, is on the fountain, which is an unusual thing to find on a McDonald’s drinks list anywhere. McCafé handles the espresso lineup plus an iced chocolate and an iced lemon tea, and the dessert case is short: an apple pie, hot fudge and strawberry sundaes, and an Oreo McFlurry.

Item What it is
Corn Cup Corn Cup Corn kernels in a cup, sold as a snack beside the fries.
ChocoTop ChocoTop Soft serve in a cone under a chocolate shell.
Iced Milo Iced Milo Chocolate malt over ice. A Hot Milo is on the same list.
100Plus 100Plus Malaysia’s isotonic drink, on the McDonald’s fountain.
