Brazilians call McDonald’s “Méqui”, and the company has taken the nickname over: the value list is the Méqui 1000, the sharing bundles are Méqui Boxes, and the site’s own product copy calls a ketchup sachet the ketchup do Méqui. The menu under that name is Brazilian where it counts. A Cheddar McMelt as the signature beef sandwich, pão de queijo on both the breakfast and McCafé boards, fries that come with a ramyeon seasoning shaker, and a McFish launch running four builds at once.
The cardápio sorts itself into categories with no US equivalent. Beef and chicken sandwiches, fine, and then Família Tasty, which is the Big Tasty sold by patty count; Méqui 1000, the value list; Méqui Box, which bundles three or four combos for a table; and Lançamentos, the launch shelf. Argentina goes up here the same day, the country index has the rest, and the US burger board is the comparison most people want. New launches
Read the launch names together and the crossover is hard to miss: a Quarterão called Saja Vibes, a Derpy Sundae full of dark purple pearls, ramyeon seasoning for the fries, and Cajun and sweet chilli blister sauces added in the same batch. The site never says what it is tied to. The fish family arrived alongside all of it.

Beef sandwiches
The most useful sentence on the whole site is buried in the Méqui Box description: every box is built from a Big Mac, Quarterão, Cheddar McMelt or McChicken Bacon. That is the menu naming its own core four, and one of them is a cheese sauce sandwich that never crossed the equator.

Two things are going on here. The dessert category proper holds only the casquinhas, because the rest of the sweet menu is spread across the Méqui 1000 value list and the McCafé counter, and McCafé in Brazil is a real cafe: espresso, ristretto, double espresso, macchiato, affogato, a mocha, iced coffees, fruit smoothies, cookies, a chocolate croissant, a cheese and bacon panini, and pão de queijo again.

McOferta is the Brazilian name for a combo meal. It shows up most clearly in the Méqui Box, which packages three or four medium McOfertas in a single order and lets each person choose a Big Mac, Quarterão, Cheddar McMelt or McChicken Bacon.
