Puerto Rico pays in dollars, weighs its beef in pounds and sells McGriddles, and the whole menu is written in Spanish. What that buys you: a McCriollo breakfast sandwich in six versions, breakfast plates built on pan criollo toast, a Bacon Cheddar Signature line in four builds, grilled chicken across four products, two chicken salads and an apple pie that is still fried. The familiar things arrive with Spanish labels: Quarter Pounder Con Queso, Batida de Oreo, Cono de Vainilla, jugo de china.
Puerto Rico is a US territory running a Spanish-language McDonald’s on the Latin American platform, which puts its board in a spot no other market occupies. Ordering is in dollars and the sizes are American ounces, 16, 21 and 30 for a fountain drink. The product list underneath is regional, so the mainland’s burger menu overlaps it without matching it.
Breakfast is where the two halves are easiest to see. Six McCriollo listings, three plates built on toasted pan criollo, a Meat Lovers Special and plain cheese toast sit in the same category as hotcakes, hash browns, McGriddles and a Big Breakfast Deluxe. Other Spanish-language boards in the region localize harder than this one does, El Salvador’s included, with whole categories given over to local snacks. Puerto Rico localizes in a narrower band, mostly at breakfast and mostly in the vocabulary.
One oddity worth flagging before the tables: three products carry a footnote reading exclusive to McDonald’s San Patricio. The Grilled Chicken Sandwich and two of the three Egg Muffins are sold at one restaurant in Guaynabo and nowhere else on the island. I have not seen a single-store carve-out published on a national menu anywhere else in this site’s coverage.

Checked September 11, 2026. The site publishes no prices at all. Everything runs in US dollars and each restaurant sets its own, so the McDonald’s app is the only place to see yours.
The Signature line
Four products, one set of toppings: caramelized onion, creamy mustard, cheese and bacon. The mainland US tried a Signature Crafted range in the late 2010s and dropped it. Puerto Rico kept the idea and ran it across beef and chicken, grilled included.

Crispy Creamy Mustard Snack Wraps | Four wraps here: crispy or grilled, ranch or creamy mustard. The 2025 US relaunch had ranch, spicy habanero and no grilled option. |
Breakfast
The site lists two breakfast categories. Desayunos is the full board; desayunos favoritos is a seven-item list of cheaper things that already appear elsewhere, oatmeal and the ham bocadillo and the burrito, an 8oz coffee, a hash brown, and orange and fruit juice at 12oz. Coffee is where the wording goes local: the iced coffees are all described as café colao, the cloth-strained brew Puerto Rican kitchens run on, served black or with milk and syrup.

FAQ
What is a McCriollo?
It’s McDonald’s Puerto Rico’s own breakfast sandwich, sold with bacon, ham or sausage and repeated in a Deluxe version, six listings in total. The name points at pan criollo, the local bread that shows up as toast on the Small Breakfast and Meat Lovers plates. No US menu carries it.
Does McDonald’s Puerto Rico price in dollars?
Yes. Puerto Rico is a US territory, so the whole board runs in US dollars even though it’s written in Spanish, and each restaurant sets its own prices. The corporate site publishes none of them, so the app is the only place to check. Checked September 11, 2026.
What is jugo de china?
Orange juice. China is the Puerto Rican word for an orange, and the menu sells jugo de china in 12, 16 and 21oz, with a separate jugo de frutas in the same three sizes. The smoothie description uses guineo for banana, another word that only works here.
Can you still order a salad?
Yes, two of them: a Crispy Chicken Salad and a Grilled Chicken Salad, both with bacon, shredded cheese, tomato and ranch. McDonald’s took salads off US menus in 2020 and hasn’t restored them nationally, so a mainland customer can order something in San Juan they can’t order at home. Grilled chicken is the same story, alive in four products here.
