The short answer

At KFC Taiwan the egg tart is a menu category of its own. The original tart is NT$49 (~$1.54), a box of six is NT$199 (~$6.25), and this week’s two front-page deals are a buy-6-get-6 box that mixes it with the Mid-Autumn red bean custard tart for NT$294 (~$9.23), and a NT$399 (~$13) bucket of eight pieces of chicken with six tarts. The chicken is Kala crispy chicken (咔啦脆雞, the spicy one) at NT$71 (~$2.23) a piece, a boneless thigh at the same price, a green Sichuan pepper version at NT$78 (~$2.45), and a foil-baked herb chicken that isn’t fried at all. The Kala thigh burger is NT$95 (~$2.98), the new four-cheese build is NT$118 (~$3.70), and two crispy chicken rice bowls just landed at NT$99 (~$3.11). Breakfast runs until 10:30 with a chicken congee at NT$48 (~$1.51) and fried chicken in a shaobing. The drink is Pepsi, with Assam tea and milk tea beside it. Every price on this page is from kfcclub.com.tw’s ordering menu on October 4, 2026.

KFC Taiwan’s website is its ordering site, kfcclub.com.tw, and it’s in Traditional Chinese only. The menu tabs run: hot deals, the boneless thigh, fried chicken and foil-baked chicken, burgers and rice, sharing meals, egg tarts, snacks and drinks, a NT$69 (~$2.17) value menu, breakfast, and a bulk-order tab for XL meals. That egg tart tab is the tell: the tart has its own menu, its own gift boxes, and a place inside nearly every set meal.

The site gives no English product names, so the English below is our gloss and the Chinese is the name exactly as the menu prints it. One word to learn before anything else: 咔啦 (kala) is the crunch sound, and it’s KFC Taiwan’s name for its spicy crispy chicken and the burger built on it. For the other two big boards in this market, see McDonald’s Taiwan and Starbucks Taiwan.

Checked October 4, 2026. Prices are the figures on kfcclub.com.tw’s menu cards that day with no store selected; the site writes a bare $ and they’re New Taiwan dollars, shown here as NT$. Those are the dine-in and takeout prices. Switch the same site to delivery and about half the cards go up: NT$5 on a burger or a single piece of chicken, NT$1 on an egg tart, NT$15 (~$0.47) on a 5-piece bucket, NT$45 (~$1.41) on the 12-piece party meal, while sauces, nuggets, fries, most drinks and the coupon deals stay the same, and the delivery menu drops breakfast, the NT$69 (~$2.17) value menu and the small drink sizes altogether. The product pages carry no launch or end dates, only “limited time” stamps on some cards, so this page gives none. Where the site posts calories, they’re quoted with the portion they describe.

Egg tarts: the 163-layer original and the Mid-Autumn red bean custard

The homepage’s brand copy gives the egg tart a line of its own: it says the classic tart’s pastry runs to as many as 163 layers. The original (原味蛋撻) is NT$49 (~$1.54) a tart, NT$50 (~$1.57) on delivery, and a box of six in the striped carton is NT$199 (~$6.25), a price the card stamps as a limited-time box deal.

This autumn’s tart is the 紅豆奶皇蛋撻, red bean custard. The site’s copy says KFC is taking on the mooncake market again this year by putting the soul of a 蛋黃酥 (the flaky salted-yolk pastry Taiwan eats at Mid-Autumn) into an egg tart: whole red bean pieces, a custard filling, sesame on top of the freshly baked shell. It’s NT$57 (~$1.79), 203 kcal on the site’s table, and it comes as a six-box at NT$222 (~$6.97) (the card calls that 65折, a limited-time 35 percent off), a mixed box of the two at NT$286 (~$8.98), and the buy-6-get-6 deal at NT$294 (~$9.23) that the homepage banner sets against a regular price of NT$636 (~$20). Mid-Autumn was September 25 this year; on October 4 the whole red bean range was still up, and so was a Mid-Autumn banner dating its gift-box voucher scheme 9/8 to 10/12.

The tart is also the site’s favourite add-on. Every XL All-Star meal includes one and offers a second for NT$1, an option the product pages label as mobile ordering only (a drive-thru banner offers the same NT$1 tart). Sharing meals carry four or six. And the delivery banner promises a free six-box on orders of NT$800 (~$25) or more with the code 800FREE.

This week’s deals: the NT$399 (~$13) bucket, NT$99 (~$3.11) rice bowls and an Evangelion tie-in

The front list of the Hot menu (熱門優惠 > 熱門菜單) had ten cards on October 4. The first is the 應援澎派桶, which translates roughly as the cheer-squad bumper bucket: eight pieces of Kala crispy chicken and six original egg tarts for NT$399 (~$13), under coupon code 50498, which the site’s copy sets against a regular price of NT$862 (~$27). The banner wraps it in baseballs and the slogan KFC 挺到炸. Its terms are the standard ones for the coupon items: non-breakfast hours (after 10:30am), dine-in, takeout or delivery, limited quantities, sold until it runs out. Beside it is a buy-one-get-one on the foil-baked chicken set, two chickens and two chicken-flavoured rices for NT$181 (~$5.68) (code 50550, regular NT$362, ~$11 per the copy), with a warning that the rice is served until 20:00 and turns into medium fries after that.

The new food is rice. Two crispy chicken rice bowls (脆雞飯) carry NEW badges and a banner of their own: a crispy thigh fillet over KFC Taiwan’s chicken-flavoured rice, either under a green Sichuan pepper sauce (青花椒醬) the site describes as numbing without being harsh, or a garlic cream sauce with mushroom (蒜香白醬). Both are NT$99 (~$3.11) as a bowl, NT$104 (~$3.26) on delivery, and NT$217 (~$6.81) as an XL All-Star meal. The site posts the nutrition: 619 kcal for a 333 g green pepper bowl, 571 kcal for a 353 g garlic one. A Korean cheese crispy chicken rice that was on the menu a week earlier is gone. A second-cup-half-price listing for the corn soup rounds out the banners at NT$60 (~$1.88).

Then there’s the Evangelion sub-menu. 新世紀福音戰士 is Neon Genesis Evangelion, and KFC Taiwan has given it four cards. The EVA blind card meal (NT$299, ~$9.39) is boneless thighs with two EVA-themed sauces, a hot red Korean chili and a cool white lemon yogurt, plus a blind card pack with eight designs to collect, an egg tart, a hash brown and a medium Pepsi, all per the product photo’s own caption. Three XL meals at NT$447 (~$14) add a collab mug, a character message stand or a multi-purpose mat. The description calls the EVA sauces a limited-period item. The hello bar that read “8 pieces with a whole box of tarts, NT$399 (~$13)” a week earlier is blank today.

Kala, extra crispy, green Sichuan pepper and the boneless thigh

Bone-in chicken comes three ways. 咔啦脆雞, Kala crispy chicken, is the house piece and the set menus mark it (辣), spicy: NT$71 (~$2.23) for one, NT$124 (~$3.89) for two. 咔啦爆脆雞(不辣) is the not-spicy answer, which the site files under an Extra Crispy series and describes as a hand-breaded crust like golden scales with a little garlic and black pepper, at the same NT$71 (~$2.23). And 青花椒香麻脆雞 is the Kala piece dressed in a numbing sauce cooked from green Sichuan pepper and scattered with crispy flakes, NT$78 (~$2.45); the site’s copy says it feels like eating hot pot with a youtiao on the side. Every bone-in chicken card carries the same line: parts are supplied at random and you can’t pick a thigh.

That green Sichuan pepper (青花椒) sauce is the flavour KFC Taiwan runs through the whole menu. Beyond the chicken there’s a burger (NT$105, ~$3.30), a dipping sauce (NT$12, ~$0.38 for a small pot), fries with the dip (NT$64, ~$2.01), nuggets with it (NT$61, ~$1.91), a snack box (NT$75, ~$2.35) and, new since our September 27 check, the rice bowl.

The other line with its own menu tab is 爆脆無骨雞腿霸, the boneless crispy thigh: a thick strip of boneless thigh in what the site calls its extra-crisp golden coating, NT$71 (~$2.23) a piece, 70 g and 183 kcal per piece on the site’s table. It sells in twos (NT$124, ~$3.89), twos with a dipping sauce (NT$136, ~$4.27) and fives with two sauces (NT$299, ~$9.39), and it’s the “boneless” half of the half-half buckets. The dipping sauces the site pairs with it are a Southeast Asian sweet and sour (南洋酸甜醬) and a BBQ smoked sauce (BBQ煙燻醬), NT$16 (~$0.50) a large pot.

Then the odd one out: 義式香草紙包雞, “paper-wrapped chicken”, a chicken leg quarter sealed in foil with Italian herbs and roasted. It’s the one roasted item on the chicken menu, NT$131 (~$4.11) alone, and it’s the subject of this week’s buy-one-get-one.

Buckets and sharing meals, with the NT$1 nuggets

The buckets start at five pieces for NT$299 (~$9.39). The half-half buckets (半半桶) split the count between bone-in chicken and boneless thighs, eight pieces for NT$449 (~$14) and twelve for NT$599 (~$19). The sharing meals add tarts: six pieces, four original egg tarts and a large fries for NT$479 (~$15), or eight pieces with two large fries for NT$619 (~$19), each also sold in an all-boneless edition at the same price. The top of the menu is the 12-piece half-half party meal at NT$899 (~$28): twelve pieces, six tarts, twenty nuggets, two large fries and three sweet and sour sauces.

All of them live in a sub-menu called 預訂快取歡聚分享餐+1元送4塊雞塊, which is the site’s pre-order pickup scheme: order a sharing meal for collection and four Colonel’s nuggets cost NT$1 more. Delivery prices on the same meals run NT$15 (~$0.47) to NT$45 (~$1.41) higher: the 5-piece bucket is NT$314 (~$9.86), the 8-piece half-half NT$471 (~$15), the party meal NT$944 (~$30).

Burgers, and how the A, B, C and XL sets work

The burger is the 咔啦雞腿堡, a whole marinated thigh fillet in the Kala coating, NT$95 (~$2.98) on its own. The current headline build on top of it is the 熔岩四起司咔啦雞腿堡, the molten four-cheese: brioche bun, a sauce of cheddar, parmesan, cream cheese and mozzarella, a hash brown and ranch dressing, NT$118 (~$3.70). The site publishes its numbers, 271 g, 732 kcal and 1,753 mg of sodium. A peanut lava version (花生熔岩) swaps the cheese sauce for peanut sauce over a cheese slice and hash brown at NT$127 (~$3.99). A double is NT$145 (~$4.55), the green Sichuan pepper one NT$105 (~$3.30), and the 黃金魚子海陸Q蝦堡, a shrimp patty stacked on the thigh fillet with a two-roe sauce, is NT$145 (~$4.55) and billed as back by popular demand. The cheapest burgers are the small ones, 原味脆雞堡(小) at NT$56 (~$1.76) and its peanut-sauce twin at NT$65 (~$2.04), both listed under burgers all day and again at breakfast.

Most burger pages then offer the same four set formats. A經典餐 adds a medium fries. B雞汁飯餐 adds the chicken-flavoured rice, until 20:00, when it becomes fries. C雙享餐 adds an egg tart, four nuggets and a sweet and sour sauce. And XL全明星餐, the XL All-Star meal, adds what each product photo’s caption lists: a piece of fried chicken, small fries, an original egg tart and a medium Pepsi, with the fries upgradable for NT$11 (~$0.35) or NT$28 (~$0.88) and a second tart for NT$1. On the menu cards the plain XL meals run from NT$174 (~$5.46) for the small original burger to NT$263 (~$8.26) for the double or the shrimp burger, before the NT$447 (~$14) Evangelion merchandise versions; the Kala thigh burger XL is NT$213 (~$6.69) and the four-cheese XL is NT$236 (~$7.41). Two simpler sets for the Kala burger sit in the Hot menu: with a hash brown at NT$149 (~$4.68), or with a hash brown and an egg tart at NT$169 (~$5.31).

The NT$69 (~$2.17) value menu (天天肯定省, “save every day”) is two pick-one boards without product photos. For NT$49 (~$1.54), zone A is shrimp nuggets, a hash brown, QQ balls or four nuggets and zone B is a small drink. For NT$69 (~$2.17), zone A is a chicken egg burger, a peanut chicken egg burger, eight nuggets or a piece of Kala crispy chicken, and zone B is an egg tart, a hash brown, QQ balls, a small corn soup or a medium drink. Neither board is on the delivery menu.

Sides: the biscuit is back, QQ balls, corn soup and chicken rice

The card for the 金黃比司吉 is stamped 經典回歸, classic returns, and the description says the biscuit recipe was developed in Japan and calls it KFC Japan’s signature snack, the one KFC Japan sells with honey-maple syrup. Here it’s NT$59 (~$1.85), pictured with honey poured over it, 72.5 g and 248 kcal.

The rest of the snack list is where KFC Taiwan reads most Taiwanese. 雙色轉轉QQ球 are chewy fried balls made from sweet potato in two colours with a hot sweet potato filling, NT$59 (~$1.85) (QQ is the Taiwanese word for a springy bite). Corn soup (玉米濃湯) is NT$40 (~$1.26) small and NT$52 (~$1.63) large, the large being 310 g and 117 kcal. The chicken-flavoured rice that anchors the rice bowls is NT$50 (~$1.57) on its own and served until 20:00, and the two new sauces now come as plain sauce rice at NT$65 (~$2.04). A strawberry cheese ice cream daifuku, made with mascarpone the site says is imported from New Zealand, is NT$55 (~$1.73), or NT$439 (~$14) as a gift box.

The fryer standards: fries at NT$41 (~$1.29), NT$52 (~$1.63) and NT$69 (~$2.17) by size, Colonel’s nuggets (上校雞塊) four for NT$49 (~$1.54), eight for NT$98 (~$3.08) and a 20-piece box for NT$210 (~$6.59), shrimp nuggets three for NT$59 (~$1.85) (swapped for four nuggets if they sell out, the card says), cod rings at NT$59 (~$1.85), and a hash brown at NT$40 (~$1.26). Snack boxes pair four nuggets and a small fries with a sauce: NT$79 (~$2.48) with the Southeast Asian sweet and sour or the BBQ smoked sauce, NT$75 (~$2.35) with the green Sichuan pepper dip. A sharing platter of eight nuggets and three large fries is NT$268 (~$8.41).

Before that, the breakfast tab (早餐) sells seven sets between NT$50 (~$1.57) and NT$141 (~$4.43) and nine single items, and it’s the most Taiwanese stretch of the site. The small chicken burgers are here too, in sets at NT$76 (~$2.39) and NT$85 (~$2.67), and the breakfast peanut one adds an egg the all-day version doesn’t have (158 g, 429.1 kcal). A two-person breakfast with a chicken wrap and a shaobing is NT$141 (~$4.43). None of the breakfast menu is on the delivery side of the site.
