Red Bean Custard Egg Tart — KFC Taiwan

Red Bean Custard Egg Tart

The Mid-Autumn tart. The site's copy says KFC is taking on the mooncake market again this year by putting the soul of a 蛋黃酥 (salted-yolk pastry) into an egg tart: whole red bean pieces, a custard (奶皇) filling and sesame on top of the freshly baked shell. NT$57 a tart, 203 kcal by the site's table, and the allergen line lists sesame, egg and butter. Mid-Autumn fell on September 25 this year and the tart was still on the menu on October 4.
