The short answer

KFC Malaysia sells rice as seriously as it sells buckets. Nasi Lemak KFC comes with a hard boiled egg, sambal anchovies, peanuts and cucumber for RM6.99 (~$1.71), or RM15.49 (~$3.79) with a piece of chicken; the Jimat Padu rice boxes start at RM8.49 (~$2.08); breakfast means Zinger Porridge at RM9.99 (~$2.45). This week’s promotion is Cheezy Banjir, a Zinger burger and dunked fried chicken flooded in cheese sauce, alongside a 6-pc Bucket Berbaloi at RM47.49 (~$12). Teh tarik, Milo and Sjora are on the drinks list, cempedak pie and D24 durian mochi on the treats shelf, and the chain’s own halal policy page says its restaurants are certified by JAKIM. Every price on this page comes as a pair because the site shows it that way: a delivery price and a lower self-collect price for the same default Kuala Lumpur store.

KFC Malaysia's Nasi Lemak KFC: coconut rice on a banana leaf with a halved hard boiled egg, a cup of sambal, peanuts and cucumber Nasi Lemak KFC, the a la carte version without chicken, tagged Best Seller on the breakfast menu. The listing’s note lists one hard boiled egg, sambal anchovies, peanuts and cucumber. Image: KFC Malaysia

KFC Malaysia’s own About page dates the first restaurant to 1973 on Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman in Kuala Lumpur and counts more than 600 restaurants today, and the menu reads like a chain that has had fifty years to settle in. The promotions have Malay names (Bucket Berbaloi, Jimat Padu, Kentang Goncang printed on the shaker-fries bag), the breakfast menu is nasi lemak and chicken porridge, and the sauce tubs run to white curry and sambal. If you’ve read our McDonald’s Malaysia page you’ll know that site publishes no prices; KFC’s does, in some detail, which is why this page has numbers on every line.

The halal position is spelled out on the site rather than assumed. KFC Malaysia’s halal policy page, written in the name of its operator QSR Brands, says its premises are inspected by JAKIM (the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia) and the state Islamic councils before JAKIM issues the halal certificate, and that imported ingredients must be certified by foreign bodies JAKIM recognises. The homepage banners carry the Diyakini Halal mark in the corner. So there’s no pork anywhere on the board.

Checked October 4, 2026. Prices are the ones kfc.com.my returned that day. The site is an ordering app, and it prices by store tier: until you choose a location it shows the delivery price for its default store, KFC Berjaya Times Square on Jalan Imbi in Kuala Lumpur, and the same store’s self-collect price is lower on almost every line. The site’s code holds eight delivery tiers and fourteen self-collect tiers, so your nearest branch may differ from both numbers here, and counter prices aren’t published at all. Product pages carry a photo, a price and sometimes a one-line availability note, with no descriptions, so what each item contains below comes from its name, its category and its photo, and says so. “New!” and “Limited Time Only” are the site’s own tags, and the only dates it displays are on two homepage banners, quoted where they apply. The limited-time list turns over fast: between a first read on September 27 and this one, a Mister Potato spicy-crisp burger range, onde-onde egg tarts, cheezy floss fries and a Wow Bucket all left, and the Cheezy Banjir range, Bucket Berbaloi and the shaker fries arrived.

Cheezy Banjir: this week’s cheese-sauce promotion

Banjir is Malay for flood, and the homepage banner shows exactly that: a Zinger burger with cheese sauce poured over the bun and a piece of fried chicken standing in a tub of the same sauce. On the menu it’s split into the Cheesy Lava Zinger Burger (RM18.49, ~$4.53 delivery, RM14.99, ~$3.67 self-collect), its combo (RM21.99 (~$5.38) / RM18.99 (~$4.65)), a Cheesy Lava Box Meal (RM26.99, ~$6.61 / RM24.99, ~$6.12) and the Dunked Cheesy Crunch combos with two or three pieces of chicken and a dunking tub. All of them sit at the top of the site’s Limited Time Only category, and all of their listing images are short animated GIFs rather than stills.

The Cheezy Shaker Fries launched alongside: a carton of fries with a KFC Cheese seasoning sachet and a red paper bag printed Kentang Goncang to shake them in. The banner tags them Baharu (new) under the KFC Treats label, and the Turbo Combo’s product photo offers a combo’s fries upgraded to a medium portion for RM1.99 (~$0.49).

Cheesy Lava Zinger Burger Cheesy Lava Zinger Burger RM18.49 (~$4.53) / RM14.99 (~$3.67) A Zinger (crispy spicy fillet, cheese slice, lettuce, mayo) under a pour of cheese sauce, with a second tub on the side in the photo. New! tag.

Bucket Berbaloi, the Red Bull Turbo Combo and the rest of the limited-time list

Bucket Berbaloi (berbaloi means worth it) is the first item in the Limited Time Only category and has its own homepage banner, with the line “Momen ori, bersama-sama” and a choice of Original Recipe or Hot & Spicy printed in the corner. The 6-pc is RM47.49 (~$12) delivery or RM42.99 (~$11) self-collect, the 10-pc RM71.99 (~$18) or RM67.99 (~$17). The site gives no written list of what’s in the bucket; the photo shows the chicken, a box of Cheezy Wedges, whipped potato and two Coca-Colas, and the banner’s small print says the servings pictured are for illustration.

The Turbo Combo is a box meal with a can of Red Bull in it, tied to a Red Bull Track Masters contest. The banner promises a KTM racing weekend at Sepang and prints the contest dates, 22 Sept 2026 - 21 Oct 2026, one of only two date ranges displayed anywhere on the site right now. The other is a Buy 1 Free 1 coffee offer for International Coffee Day, 29 Sep - 6 Oct 2026, marked KFC Members’ Exclusive; the menu lists the paired coffees as their own products, from a Buy 1 Free 1 Hot Espresso at RM6.49 (~$1.59) to a Buy 1 Free 1 Iced Latte at RM9.99 (~$2.45), delivery prices.

Further down the limited-time list: a seaweed-dusted chicken snack called K-Seaweed Chick N Go, a black pepper mushroom version of the value Crispy Fillet Burger, five dipping sauces (next section), the mochi and cempedak pie gift box (treats section) and a KFC x Coca-Cola bamboo fibre cup at RM15.90 (~$3.89). Four KFC x Mofusand cat plushes from RM57.90 (~$14) to RM87.90 (~$22) have a category of their own rather than a place on that list; their banner says selected outlets only, while stocks last.

Item Delivery / self-collect What it is
6-pc Bucket Berbaloi 6-pc Bucket Berbaloi RM47.49 (~$12) / RM42.99 (~$11) Six pieces of chicken, Original Recipe or Hot & Spicy, with wedges, whipped potato and two drinks in the photo. New! tag.

K-Seaweed Chick N Go K-Seaweed Chick N Go RM7.49 (~$1.83) / RM6.49 (~$1.59) A piece of crispy chicken dusted with seaweed flakes in a paper bag. Listed under KFC Treats and Add-on Sides too.

Nasi lemak, the Padu rice boxes and Zinger Porridge

Nasi Lemak KFC lives on the breakfast menu, in a category of its own, and the nasi lemak listings are the only ones on the whole site with a written note of what’s in them: a hard boiled egg, sambal anchovies, peanuts and cucumber. The plain version is RM6.99 (~$1.71) delivery (RM6.49, ~$1.59 self-collect) and is tagged Best Seller. Add one piece of chicken and it’s RM15.49 (~$3.79) / RM11.99 (~$2.94); two pieces, RM19.99 (~$4.89) / RM17.99 (~$4.40). The all-day Rice Meals category repeats the combos with a drink, 1-pc at RM18.49 (~$4.53) and 2-pc at RM22.99 (~$5.63) delivery. A plain Nasi Lemak side also sits in Add-on Sides at RM6.49 (~$1.59) / RM5.49 (~$1.34), and the nutrition page lists it at 170g and 298 kcal.

Jimat Padu is the site’s value heading (jimat is to save, padu is solid), and it holds two rice boxes. Nasi Kari Padu is rice under a potato curry with crispy chicken and half a boiled egg, RM13.99 (~$3.43) / RM13.39 (~$3.28); Nasi Original Recipe Padu is rice with Original Recipe chicken pieces, corn and gravy, RM8.49 (~$2.08) / RM7.99 (~$1.96). Their combos with a drink are RM15.39 (~$3.77) and RM9.49 (~$2.32) delivery, which makes the Original Recipe box the cheapest named chicken-and-drink combo on the delivery menu. The standard 1-pc Rice Combo (a drumstick, seasoned rice, coleslaw, drink) is RM16.99 (~$4.16), and Colonel Rice on its own is RM4.99 (~$1.22) / RM4.49 (~$1.10).

Zinger Porridge is chicken porridge with chunks of crispy Zinger fillet on top, sold in a bucket from the breakfast a la carte list. The nutrition page lists it at 422g and 334 kcal, a little over half the Zinger Riser’s 604.

Sambal, white curry and mala: the sauce tubs

Add-on Sides sells the dips by the tub. Sambal Sauce is RM2.49 (~$0.61) delivery, RM2.00 (~$0.49) self-collect, and the nutrition page lists a 50g tub at 96 kcal with 1.80g of salt. Five more sauces sit under Limited Time Only, all tagged New! and all RM2.49 (~$0.61) / RM1.99 (~$0.49): White Curry Syiok! Snack Plate, buckets and the per-piece calorie table

The standard meal is the Snack Plate Combo, a Best Seller: two pieces of chicken, whipped potato with gravy, coleslaw, a butterscotch bun and a drink, RM21.49 (~$5.26) delivery. On the self-collect menu it’s RM17.49 (~$4.28) with a struck-through RM18.99 (~$4.65) and a Promo tag. The Dinner Plate Combo adds a third piece for RM25.99 (~$6.36) / RM22.99 (~$5.63), and both are also sold without the drink: Snack Plate RM19.99 (~$4.89) / RM16.99 (~$4.16), Dinner Plate RM23.99 (~$5.87) / RM21.99 (~$5.38). Chicken by the piece runs 2-pc RM15.99 (~$3.92), 3-pc RM24.49 (~$6.00), 5-pc RM34.99 (~$8.57), 9-pc RM58.49 (~$14) and 15-pc RM94.49 (~$23) delivery (RM14.99, ~$3.67, RM19.99, ~$4.89, RM30.99, ~$7.59, RM54.99, ~$13 and RM90.99, ~$22 self-collect). The bucket banner on the homepage, “Bucket untuk semua” (a bucket for everyone), repeats the Original Recipe or Hot & Spicy choice.

Family Buckets are the combos: 5-pc RM44.49 (~$11) / RM39.99 (~$9.79), 9-pc RM69.99 (~$17) / RM65.99 (~$16) (Best Seller), 15-pc RM102.99 (~$25) / RM99.99 (~$24), and Variety Boxes A, B and C at RM57.99 (~$14), RM84.99 (~$21) and RM95.99 (~$24) delivery. Box Meals run from the Snacker Box at RM17.49 (~$4.28) to the Cheezilla Box at RM29.99 (~$7.34), with the Signature Box - Classic the Best Seller at RM23.49 (~$5.75).

KFC Malaysia’s nutrition page lists each piece by cut, which no combo page does. Original Recipe: drumstick 160 kcal, wing 188, rib 275, thigh 287, breast 342. Hot & Spicy: drumstick 179, wing 204, thigh 313, rib 328, breast 353. One caution: the page prints the Original Recipe table twice in two layouts, and the second copy gives the drumstick the thigh’s 287 kcal. The first table’s 160 is the figure used here.

Zinger, Colonel Classic and the Cheezy Twister

The Zinger Classic is RM17.49 (~$4.28) delivery or RM13.99 (~$3.43) self-collect, and its combo is where the two-price gap is widest on the burger list: RM20.99 (~$5.14) against a self-collect RM14.99 (~$3.67) (struck through from RM17.99, ~$4.40). Above it sit the Zinger Cheezy at RM18.49 (~$4.53), the Zinger Double Down at RM18.49 (~$4.53) and the Zinger Cheezilla, which the delivery menu only sells inside a combo (RM28.49, ~$6.98) or a box (RM29.99, ~$7.34); the self-collect menu lists the burger alone at RM20.99 (~$5.14). Below it, the Colonel Classic at RM10.99 (~$2.69) is a flat chicken patty rather than a crispy fillet, and the Crispy Fillet Burger at RM9.99 (~$2.45) is the value option, with a 100% Paha Ayam (100% chicken thigh) badge on its photo.

Cheezy Wedges, whipped potato and the butterscotch bun

Cheezy Wedges (L), potato wedges under cheese sauce and mayo, is the Best Seller of the sides at RM9.49 (~$2.32) / RM7.99 (~$1.96), and its listing is the strangest thing on the menu right now. The image on the menu grid is a four-frame animated GIF instead of a product photo, and the availability note reads, in Malay, “Cheezy Wedges lesap! Kejutan apa Abam nak buat ni?”, which is “Cheezy Wedges have vanished! What surprise is Abam planning?” The product is still priced and the still photo is still in its gallery, so this reads as a teaser rather than a delisting, but order it knowing the site is being coy.

The rest of the sides are straightforward. Plain Wedges are RM6.49 (~$1.59) / RM5.49 (~$1.34) medium and RM8.99 (~$2.20) / RM7.49 (~$1.83) large; Fries RM5.99 (~$1.47) / RM4.99 (~$1.22) medium and RM7.99 (~$1.96) / RM6.99 (~$1.71) large; Loaded Cheezy Fries (L) RM9.49 (~$2.32) / RM7.99 (~$1.96). The breakfast menu is its own tree on the site, with nasi lemak, the porridge and three egg sandwiches. The Zinger Riser puts a fried egg on a Zinger fillet for RM10.99 (~$2.69) / RM9.99 (~$2.45) (219g, 604 kcal, more than the regular Zinger Classic). The Egg Riser is the smaller egg burger without the Zinger fillet at RM7.99 (~$1.96) / RM6.49 (~$1.59), and the Cheezy Egg Twister wraps crispy chicken with scrambled egg, tomato and cheese for RM15.99 (~$3.92) / RM13.99 (~$3.43). The egg and porridge combos are each listed twice, with and without a hashbrown: Zinger Riser Combo RM15.99 (~$3.92) or RM18.49 (~$4.53), Egg Riser Combo RM12.49 (~$3.06) or RM14.49 (~$3.55), Cheezy Egg Twister Combo RM19.99 (~$4.89) or RM21.99 (~$5.38), Zinger Porridge Combo RM14.49 (~$3.55) or RM16.49 (~$4.04), delivery prices. The Cempedak Pie (RM6.99, ~$1.71 / RM5.99, ~$1.47) is a sugar-crusted pastry filled with cempedak, the jackfruit relative Malaysians fry in batter at roadside stalls, and a 5-pc gift box is RM33.95 (~$8.31) / RM28.95 (~$7.09). Under Limited Time Only are two mochi: the 2-pc D24 Durian Mochi (RM6.99, ~$1.71 / RM5.99 (~$1.47)), whose box says it’s made with real D24 durian flesh at 60g net, and the 2-pc Choco Mochi (RM7.49, ~$1.83 / RM6.99, ~$1.71). The nutrition page gives the durian mochi 73 kcal per 30g piece and has nothing for the tarts, the pie or the chocolate one.

FAQ

Is KFC Malaysia halal?

Yes, by the chain’s own account. KFC Malaysia’s halal policy page, written in the name of its operator QSR Brands, says its premises are inspected by JAKIM, the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia, and the state Islamic councils before JAKIM issues the halal certificate, and that imported ingredients must be certified by foreign bodies JAKIM recognises. The site’s homepage banners carry the Diyakini Halal mark. There is no pork on the menu.

How much is a Zinger burger at KFC Malaysia?

RM17.49 (~$4.28) for delivery or RM13.99 (~$3.43) for self-collect at the site’s default Kuala Lumpur store, as of October 4, 2026. The Zinger Classic Combo is RM20.99 (~$5.14) delivery or RM14.99 (~$3.67) self-collect. The Zinger Cheezy and Zinger Double Down are both RM18.49 (~$4.53) delivery, and the Zinger Cheezilla Combo is RM28.49 (~$6.98).

Does KFC Malaysia serve nasi lemak?

Yes, on the breakfast menu as Nasi Lemak KFC, with a hard boiled egg, sambal anchovies, peanuts and cucumber per the site’s own note. RM6.99 (~$1.71) delivery or RM6.49 (~$1.59) self-collect without chicken, RM15.49 (~$3.79) / RM11.99 (~$2.94) with one piece, RM19.99 (~$4.89) / RM17.99 (~$4.40) with two. The all-day Rice Meals list has the 1-pc and 2-pc combos with a drink at RM18.49 (~$4.53) and RM22.99 (~$5.63) delivery, and a plain nasi lemak side is RM6.49 (~$1.59).

What is on KFC Malaysia’s limited-time menu right now?

Cheezy Banjir, the cheese-sauce promotion, with the Cheesy Lava Zinger Burger at RM18.49 (~$4.53) delivery and the Dunked Cheesy Crunch combos from RM25.49 (~$6.24); Bucket Berbaloi at RM47.49 (~$12) for six pieces; Cheezy Shaker Fries from RM6.49 (~$1.59); the Red Bull Turbo Combo at RM29.99 (~$7.34); K-Seaweed Chick N Go; five dipping sauces; D24 durian and choco mochi. That’s the site’s Limited Time Only category on October 4, 2026. It gives no end dates for the food; the only dates on the site are the Red Bull contest (22 Sept 2026 - 21 Oct 2026) and a members’ Buy 1 Free 1 coffee offer (29 Sep - 6 Oct 2026).

Why does KFC Malaysia’s website show two prices?

Because kfc.com.my is an ordering site that prices by store tier and by channel. Before you set a location it shows the delivery price for its default store, KFC Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur, and the same store’s self-collect price is lower on almost every item: a Snack Plate Combo is RM21.49 (~$5.26) for delivery and RM17.49 (~$4.28) for self-collect. The site’s code holds eight delivery tiers and fourteen self-collect tiers, so other branches differ, and in-restaurant counter prices aren’t published.

Does KFC Malaysia publish calories?

Yes, on a Nutrition Facts page at kfc.com.my/nutrition-facts, with energy, carbohydrates, protein, fat and salt per item and the weight of each portion. It covers chicken by the piece (an Original Recipe drumstick is 160 kcal, a breast 342), the burgers (Zinger Classic 573 kcal, Colonel Classic 406), sides, breakfast items and drinks per 100ml. It isn’t complete: the egg tarts, cempedak pie and teh tarik are missing, and its limited-time section still lists items that have left the menu.

Does KFC Malaysia have breakfast?

Yes. The site has a separate breakfast menu with Nasi Lemak KFC, Zinger Porridge at RM9.99 (~$2.45) delivery, the Zinger Riser and Egg Riser egg burgers at RM10.99 (~$2.69) and RM7.99 (~$1.96), the Cheezy Egg Twister at RM15.99 (~$3.92), hashbrowns at RM4.49 (~$1.10), and the full coffee list. The egg and porridge combos are each sold with or without a hashbrown. The menu pages don’t state breakfast hours.

What is the cheapest meal at KFC Malaysia?

Among the named combos, the Nasi Original Recipe Padu Combo, a rice box with Original Recipe chicken pieces and a drink, at RM9.49 (~$2.32) delivery or RM8.99 (~$2.20) self-collect. On the self-collect menu the Crispy Fillet Burger Combo is listed even lower at a promotional RM7.99 (~$1.96), and a RM5 (~$1.22) Menu Rahmah set appears with Mon-Fri and 2-5pm tags. The cheapest priced item of any kind is the Butterscotch Bun at RM1.10 (~$0.27) delivery, RM1.00 self-collect.
