Ayran is yoghurt whipped with cold water and salt, and in Turkey it's the standard drink with kebab and döner. McDonald's Turkey lists it on the regular soft-drinks board with Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero, Fanta and Sprite. If you've had a salted lassi, you know roughly what to expect.
