Molletes are a Mexican breakfast standard: bread split open under refried beans and melted cheese, usually with pico de gallo on top. McDonald's Mexico sells its own version every morning and folds it into the Desayuno Especial Mexicano tray as well. Nothing like it exists on the US breakfast menu.
